The first time i had a 'tainment' linked term was when i attended the eighth edition of the Zimbabwe National Youth Games when i was part of thr Mashonaland West Edutainment team. However, in this writing i shall focus on the relatively new phenomenon of technotainment.

Basically technotainment is the combination of technology and
entertainment. This is one of those new
tech age names of entertainment, whereby individuals are entertained by
technology. What first comes into my mind when i hear this word is a
situation whereby one is using their technological gadgets to intertain
themselves. However it goes beyond that. It is an integration of entertainment and technology as inseparable entities. This can be exemplified by the use of music instruments by most mainline churches as they noted that the youth have a tendency to run to pentecostal churches well furnished with drums, keyboards, guitars and sound speakers.
To show the influence of technotainment, it is credited for the
development of other phenomena such as infortainment and technotainment.
